Hello there Stranger!
Wow, I wasn’t expecting that. How long has it been? I have email spilling over and about 725 feeds to read in my bloglines. We had an unexpected short out in our phone line. Just when we thought we had it fixed, the line where the computer is plugged in, didn’t work. So, back to re-wiring. He fixed it all today. I just hopped on here to see if it works. And it does. Yeah!!!  I like posts with pictures, so I’ll share some of my fav’s.

Bark Bark, Baby bib…
Finally a picture of the bib. It’s just darling! I had left the new mommies package at home the last time I saw her and she lives a good distance away.  It was a good thing because when I went to upload the bib picture, It wasn’t there. I guess I had accidently deleted it when cleaning up some of my older pictures. The pony express will be delivering it, and it perfect time as he is just starting to sit up and eat baby food. I took another pic of it this morning. Here is another pattern for just a simple round bib. I have started one of those, If all is well,  I will be getting another newphew in a few weeks. That will make me an Aunt of 18 children!!! Wow! Even I am stunned at that number.

Hope everyone had a good weekend..
Here are just a few images that filled our weekend. I was tickled to find the Mr Men bubble bath and soaps. You don’t usually find cute things in the washing and hygiene department for boys. They really should, to help us parents battle the bathtime fight. “But mom I took a bath a few days ago.” They have a really cute website too!
update: I bought the bath stuff at our local Target store.

The Quilt Blocks garland

Where does the time go? At last some nice pictures, sadly those below in the last post had to stay up way to long on this blog. The progress, pieceing, one after another. Some advice from a wonderful friend of mine who does amazing quilts, I was honored to have one of her works of art as a wedding gift. This may be old news to you pro’s but I’m a newbie, so it was a great help. Saves time and thread. I liked the look so much that I’m using them as a garland on windows. That way the don’t get wrinkled either and I won’t loose them. Here is a picture of them with the flash on so you can see all the fun colors. They will be even brighter once I fold and iron them out.

The curtains are sort of new too. I made them last month out of white canvas. Three panels to fit across the front window. Â If I had to pick one fabric that I’m drawn to and seem to feel comfortable around, it’s white canvas. I love it. I like it even better when it’s the back drop for random colored cotton fabrics.
I also want to mention some wonderful friends that have added a touch of kinds to this friendship quilt. Weirdbunny herself,

Beautifully tied package. I always hate to untie a bundle of fabric, there just some so charming about it. And let me tell you this fabric smelled just edible, like the chocolate that was kindly in the package! Thank you for that yummy treat. And here are a few of the close up of some of that darling fabrics… Wonderful bright plaids and all the floral fabrics are great. The pink and orange one looks truly vintage. The black and pink print would make a great skirt, Don’t you think? It will also be lovely in my quilt, where its destination will be.

Then I have another package from a wonderful non-blogger Jeannie who kindly spent me some of her stash. She also gave the best advice and encouragement I could ask for. Being a 30+ year quilter herself, I think she knows what she is talking about. Let serendipity put the quilt together, don’t fret just enjoy. Doesn’t that just put a smile on your face.

There was a lot different prints in this package! Here is just a few that a caught my eye. I wish the sun would have come out when I was taking these pictures. The word print is a fun one and I don’t have any of that. Polka dots are always a plus in my book and the pink flowered fabric in the bottom right corner look like feedsack print. The tiny print in the middle will be perfect for such little blocks and the colors are perfect.

 Thank you girls!
