Just a little note: that’s powder and dust from the rocks on the table. I have a little normal dust around the house but not that much. 

We have been playing.

I love this photo. No editing at all. The sky really was that color, the sun shined bright and the day that beautiful. It was a perfect snapshot on how I feel.

I’ve been enjoying these last few carefree days of summer with my kiddos. I know I haven’t been here much, but you guys have been a lot of my mind. It will be busy around here for a while so I thinking about doing things a little different for a couple weeks. Maybe a photo with a simple post, maybe a quote.  I do feel sort of detached for this wonderful community when I’m away for to long. It almost gives me a sort of lonely feeling. That’s kind of corny, I know but it’s the truth. It’s like I haven’t seen a good friend in a while. I’ve also been packing up my crafting supplies. My new craft room is almost finished. We have had a few hold ups along the way, so I’m hoping no more. They just installed a heating and cooling unit. The building had neither so I glad it does now. I’m itching to get things moved in and have been keeping my eye out at yard sales for cabinets and storage, which I’m lacking. I haven’t had much luck yet, but I just know there out there.  Hope you guys find some great things this weekend if your out rummaging for goodies like me.

There hasn’t been much crafting going on these last few days. We have been busy with summer fun and going to camp. But I have hit a few good yard sales. I haven’t shared any of my thrifted finds in a long time so here are a few things that have found a new home with me.

An old handmade teddy bear. He cost me next to nothing but I love him, rough, uneven hand stitches and all.

And old leather purse. I just couldn’t't pass it up.

A box full of vintage children books. The ones from the 1950 & 1960′s are my favorite.

And then this bed side reading lamp which I think is just lovely. I have always wanted one. All it needs is a little cleaning up.
